In his native land of Domincan Republic he was enrolled in a performing arts school at the age of five. There he'd learn how to play instrumentslike piano, guitar, and the saxophone. However, where he'd learn how to freestyle would be by being around his family relatives who would sing
merengue typico at gatherings. At six, he was brought to a high school class for show and tell. That day he overcame his stage freight, but also discovered he could sing. At nine years old his whole life changed when his mother brought him to Corona Queens in New York.
