Mayor Gavin Newsom said he'll send his recommended list of $45 million wow gold in midyear cuts to the Board of Supervisors sometime next week, and that he's about 80 percent of the way there. "The 20 percent is excruciating," he said, adding it's just going to get harder since city officials must soon turn to bridging a $522 million budget deficit for cheap wow gold the 2010-11 fiscal year.  PHILADELPHIA -- Jerry Manuel hadn't seen much of Josh Thole when the 22-year-old catcher made his big-league debut earlier this month. But the Mets manager knew one thing from watching Thole in spring training. "It looks like he can hit," Manuel said.In just his fifth major-league game, Thole reinforced that reputation by going 4-for-4 with an RBI single in the first game of a day-night doubleheader Sunday against the Phillies. Thole also narrowly missed his first major-league home run, driving a ball off the right-field wall against Phillies reliever Brad Lidge in the ninth inning. Consider Manuel impressed. "He's a good-looking young hitter," Manuel said. "It was very interesting in that last match-up, a power guy with some good secondary pitches. ... Josh put a good at-bat on him. We're very excited about things to come for him. He looks like he might have a bright future." When asked earlier this month what Thole needed to work on most, Manuel mentioned receiving, throwing and footwork behind home plate. Adjusting to major-league pitching as a hitter is no small task, either, but if his first five games are any indication, that will come easier. In 103 games with Double-A Binghamton this year, Thole hit .328 with a .395 on-base percentage. Of course, his four hits Sunday meant a little more than the 126 he had with the B-Mets. "It's like anywhere -- if you get a chance to move up, you have to prove yourself everywhere you go," Thole said. "Just because you hit in Double-A or High A or Low A doesn't necessarily mean you're going to hit in the big leagues. So while I'm here, I just try to have good at-bats."
